AGM Technology (Absorbent Glass Mat)
Compared to flooded batteries AGM batteries are dry celled with the positive and negative plates separated by an absorbent glass mat that holds the electrolyte like a sponge. This minimises electrolyte spillage. OPTIMA AGM batteries use a higher purity of lead compared to other AGM batteries on the market, this extends battery life and increases performance for example; superior starting power, the ability to recharge much faster, higher charge acceptance and shock/vibration resistant.
